Wouldn’t it be great to know what people are thinking around you? Imagine the insights you’d get from being able to hear the thoughts of strangers on the street. Or even the other fed up faces across the meeting table…

That’s exactly what inspired app founder Jon Nash. Sitting through a “dreadful presentation” (not that we know what those are here at Elmwood) Jon amused himself by musing over whether anyone else in the room was as rigidly bored as he was. And what if he could publish his peevishness without being traced? Secretly, incognito, on the sly..? And so Slight was conceived, to let you swap your thoughts anonymously with anyone and everyone who’s in a forty-metre radius.

If the messaging equivalent of hearing voices in your head appeals, you just have to wrestle with the ethical dilemma of untraceable trolling. Or use it as a force for good: tell that girl at the bar her stiletto looks like a loo paper shish kebab without embarrassment. On your side at least.
